The macrobert Autumn/Winter Season 09 is in full swing offering a diverse range of internationally acclaimed shows and films for all ages. If you haven't been to macrobert before you don't know what you're missing! We are the country's premier arts centre for young people - a fact we are confident about because young people helped us design it! There is something fun and engaging for all ages in our colourful building; from arts factories for wee babies in our Treehouse Crèche to inspiring creative workshops in dance, drama and film making for young people - we are sure to have something at macrobert to get your creative juices flowing!
If you're looking for something to excite your pupils and stimulate their learning , our education team are bursting with ideas to help and support. Maybe you are a parent or young person looking to try your hand at a new creative skill, we currently run 11 youth groups in dance, drama, film making and most recently adult contemporary dance - check out ways to join in here.
For our early years...parents don't forget our Treehouse crèche which sees the growth of our ever popular Family Friday's where you can get stuck in and play as well. Our Treehouse is the place to be this season with Arts Factories, Birthday Parties and our new Sunday Crèche; for more details on how the Treehouse can cater for your family click here.
Here at macrobert we are working hard to offer you the very best creative learning experience for your school, community group, family and most importantly you. We'd love to hear from you if you have any ideas and suggestions or questions about our groups, shows, activities or anything else.

It is an extremely exciting time for our education team this season as mPOWER is well underway reaching over 80 young people so far who are all working together to plan, promote and develop their own festival for August 2010.
We have recently launched our new Schools Programme this season to support schools Curriculum for Excellence, build teacher's skills in our creative CPD sessions in Dance and Drama and offer free bespoke workshops and transport subsidies to schools that book for this season's world class shows.
And then there is Christmas...and that means PANTO! If you are planning a festive treat for your family or school get in touch to see how we can make it a fun learning experience to wind down the year.
Georgina Pearson - Young People's Officer
As a new member of the team I have the exciting task of planning macrobert's education activity; from coordinating our 11 youth groups, supporting teachers with new CPD sessions in Dance and Drama and offering schools special ticket deals and workshops, we offer high quality opportunities to enhance young people's experiences of working in our creative, professional and supportive environment.
If there is something you would like us to do in connection with one of our shows like a post show discussion, bespoke a creative outreach dance or drama workshop or perhaps you would like to meet our creative team in a sneaky backstage tour, just give me a call on 01786 466603 or email me.
